online designer crepe silk saris collection, unnatisilks party wear saris

There is a special appeal to the Crepe silk saree. Light in weight, soft in feel and a novel lustre in appearance, it appeals to the growing need of fashionable women in India. The Silk Crepe Saree is a thin, light and transparent fabric. Woven from hard spun silk yarn in its gummy natural condition, the initial woven fabric has a crispness about it that comes from the gum present in the yarn.

The distinguishing feature of the Silk Crepe fabric is its sparkle and lustre, apart from its soft feel, gauze-like appearance and texture. Artistic Zari Buttis, designer borders and stylish pallus, that adorn the Silk Crepe fabrics like the Saree make it most alluring. Based on the count crepe silks are distinguished as silk crepe, synthetic crepe, satin crepe and micro crepe.

The making of the crepe silk saree requires quite a bit of skill. The threads in the weft (breadth-wise lay of threads) are woven through two separate feeds, which are reverse twisted and interwoven on the warp (length-wise lay of threads). Subsequently, on putting the raw fabric in boiling water, the gum mostly separates from the fabric and the threads loosen substantially in the weft weave, giving it that soft and wavy appearance.

There are certain endearing features of this fabric made from silk, wool or polyester of a gauzy texture. Having a good sheen and light and floating in nature, crepe has excellent draping quality.
There are very many fashionable designs and patterns of complex nature that comes out very clearly through the jacquard weave on it.

The fineness of the weave allows for beautiful digital prints that are extremely fashionable. The crepe fabric is adaptable to most colour dyes hence the range is fairly wide. A lot of metallic and thread embroidery is possible on this fabric of good texture that make the creations quite gorgeous.Maintenance of the fabric is very easy.

The use of crepe silk extends to a large variety of occasions. Designer prints on the Pure Silk Crepe Patola Saree with Zari work on the body of the fabric accompanied by multi-thread embroidered patch border and elegant matching pallu, give it a grand feel. No wonder it is much preferred wear for traditional functions, marriages, bridal attire, festivals and social gatherings.

Crepe Silks using Bagru prints and having antique copper jari border are eye-catchers, while the half and half Crepe Silk Sareee with printed Bootis and beautiful embroidery patch work on Pallus is currently in fashion. They find preference for college functions and corporate meets. The North Indian variety of Silk Crepe Fabrics has stylish block floral, Bagru and Bandhaniprints on the Saree body and is very refreshing, while the Southern version has fancy embroidery patterns with kundans, sequins and pearls on the Saree to make it very much appealing.

Dharmavaram is in Anantpur district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Known for its handloom industry, Dharmavaram is a hub for the manufacture and sale of the Dharmavaram Silk Sarees. A household name in South India, the Dharmavaram Silk Saree is famous for its excellent weaving quality, rich look and feel.

Dharmavaram Silk Saris also known as Rajwadi Sarees are known for their broad borders and gold brocade embroidered pallus, available in a combination of soft colours, exquisite designs and varying patterns.

Sometimes confused with the Kanchipuram Saree, the difference lies in the patent features of the Dharmavaram Saree – its muted colours and the double-colour effect of the Saree.
The making of the Dharmavaram Silk Saree involves a lot of painstaking care and precision.

Desired colour is mixed with water boiled to a high temperature. Heat causes colour to adhere making it fast or durable. The yarn is immersed and the water stirred to spread the colour evenly throughout. The choice of right colour and shade is crucial and the right combination increases the value of the fabric. The decision hinges on the designer himself.

the Bomkai saree appeals for its use of brilliant colours, the Bomkai saree appeals for its eye-catching patterns, the Bomkai Saree appeals innovatively

Bomkai is a tribal village, in the Ganjam district of Orissa, famed for its Bomkai Sarees in Silk and Cotton. This ethnic fabric is woven on a pit loom, combining ikat and supplementary thread work. It was initially worn only during rites and religious functions.

The exclusive Bomkai Saris employ the ikat style of tie-dye, where the threads are dyed with contrasting colours before they are woven with a special ‘extra weft’ technique. This traditional art uses vegetable dyes to a large extent, with a leaning toward artificial colours in present day creations. Black, yellow, orange, maroon, are the preferred hues.

Bright coloured panels with extra motifs on a highly contrasting background make this tribal art fabric stand out uniquely.
Motif patterns commonly adorning the fabric are bitter gourd, the atasi flower, the kanti-phul or small flower, peacocks, birds, the Konark temple and conches.

The weaving of the Bomkai Saree, involves thread movement of the warp (lengthwise lay of the threads) and the weft (breadth wise feed of thread), finely controlled through an arrangement mechanism on the loom. The resulting pattern of interstices provides strength to the fabric.

The large motif known as Buttah, has a bird sitting on a tree, and is woven on the body of the saree. This accentuates the look of the fabric. Smaller motifs decorate the borders and pallu, and have pomegranate seeds, Saara seeds and temple spires as popular subjects.

A special method of cutting warp ends of a colour and re-tying them to different coloured warp ends, known as ‘muha-johra’ is used to create a dense layer of colours at the end piece (pallu) of the Saree.

Bomkai sarees, also known as Sonepuri saris, are available in cotton and silk fabrics.

Bomkai Silk Saris have Pure Tribal art imprinted on silk sarees and are embroidered with the popular temple spire patterns on the border of the fabric. Some of these sarees have contrast pallu and extra motifs in the background such as animal prints, geometric designs, birds, elephant and flowers.

The Bomkai Silk saree resembles the ikkat designed Sambalpuri sari. This design in four colors, such as red, green, white and blue, can be identified by animals, birds, conch shells and the famous Konark temple patterns.

Richly coloured with elegant prints, embroidered borders and pallu (end-piece), Bomkai Silk Sarees are apt for traditional functions, weddings, as bridal attire, for festivals and other special occasions.

Bomkai Cotton Saris in striking colours, with contrast pallu and extra motifs on the body, such as geometric designs, birds, elephant, flower, dombaru (hour glass shaped drum), Shanka (Conch), Peacock and fish look very attractive. These Saris are finding good use as daily casual, college, corporate and office wear.

Rasipuram Silk Saree, Rasipuram Silk saree continues to shine

Rasipuram, a town in Namakkal district of TamilNadu, India, earlier known as Raajapuram or King’s Town, is famous for its Rasipuram Silk Sarees.

The Rasipuram Silks are known for their fast colours, durability and comparatively light weight. Motifs inspired by traditional architecture, geometrical patterns and nature adorn the fabric. Fancy designs and beautiful embroidery work further enhance the appeal.

A traditional heritage involving all family members, Rasipuram Silks are extremely fine hand-woven Sarees. The count of a fabric or the number of threads in a square inch of warp and weft determines the fineness - more the threads, finer the Saree. 5600 threads are used in the warp. The width of the saree comes to 51 inches. With full-fledged efforts, it takes between 4 to 8 days to weave a Saree.

The Rasipuram Silk Saree is availale in delightful variations.
Printed mango booties adorning the hand-loom woven Rasipuram Silk Sari is a beautiful sight, making it apt for corporate wear or social gatherings.
The Plain Rasipuram Saree woven with temple border is more traditional and would be quite suitable for social occasions and religious functions.
Multi thread embroidery, kundans and sequins work decorating this southern hand-loom silk sari is quite fancy and grand. It is highly preferred wear for festive   occasions, corporate functions and special invites.

The process of making a Rasipuram Silk Saree is in stages with care taken at every stage.
Yarn is put in boiling water with the dyeing colour mixed in it. Stirring the yarn ensures uniform colouring. The temperature is kept high for good adhesion of colour. Colour specifications, are generally, by the designer, unless otherwise as specified in the customized order. Spinning the yarn after drying in shade, coloured threads are prepared.

The Rasipuram Silk Saree is woven on simple wooden pit looms. Designs are woven through pre-drawn, card punched and fitted in the Jacquard arrangement which monitors the weft weave for the same.

The thread generally arranged on the warp (pavvu) is meant to weave 6 silk sarees. Weaving a pavvu could take close to one and a half months.

The high cost of silk yarn, lack of subsidies, govt. policies showing their apathy and poor market response had once caused a rapid decline in the making of these traditional offerings with weavers opting to move to power looms and even other professions too. Cotton versions of the Rasipuram saree also flourished as a cheaper alternative to a fine tradition.
Thanks to continued efforts by the Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers’ Co-operative Society Ltd.(also known as Co-optex) , the rot has been stemmed in time. Mechanical pedal looms provided in pilot districts, training skills arranged for weavers in jacquard looms, revival of hand-woven embroidery, providing for markets for these traditional sarees and ensuring decent remuneration to the weavers are some of the heart-warming initiatives brought about by it.

Back on track after a momentary setback, the Rasipuram Silk Saree continues to shine.

Art Silk Sarees Are Good, unnatisilks Art Silk Saris Are Good Substitutes For Pure Silk Saris

Artificial Silk or Art Silk, as it is known as, is a synthetically manufactured fibre which resembles silk. Rayon is one of the best examples of Art Silk.
Art Silk Sarees cost less to produce. Having properties similar to that of fabric from natural fibres, the feel and texture of cotton, silk or wool is closely imitated. Art Silk Sarees are easily dyed in a wide range of colours.

Rayon or Art Silk fabrics are soft and smooth to the touch. Being highly absorbent, the Art Silk Saree keeps the body cool and comfortable since it does not insulate body heat, making it ideal for use in hot and humid climates.

In the present day, imitation silk may be made with rayon, mercerized cotton, polyester, a blend of these materials, or a blend of rayon and silk. Surprisingly with demand for artificial silk on the increase, despite efforts to curb prices, a rise in price of rayon fabrics, has been noticed.

In recent times, rising cotton prices have led to the replacement of cotton with rayon in fabrics. Designers also, have switched over to incorporate rayon in their newest saree designs.
Cellulose fibers are manufactured from dissolving pulp.Cellulose-based fibers are of two types, regenerated or pure cellulose. Rayon fibre is from regenerated cellulose. One of the earliest in artificial fibres, artificial silk was initially known as viscose towards the end of the nineteenth century and later as rayon in 1924. The material is commonly referred to as viscose rayon in industry.

The durability and appearance retention of regular viscose rayon is low, especially when wet. Also, it has the lowest elastic recovery of any fibre. However, with the newer variety of Rayon much stronger, the Art Silk Saree exhibits higher durability and appearance retention. While recommended care for regular viscose rayon has been dry-cleaning only, the improved variety of rayon can easily be machine-washed.
The company Du Pont is said to have first produced artificial silk under the name Nylon. It was the first synthetic fibre or artificial silk, developed in the United States in the late 1930s and used as a replacement for Japanese silk during World War II. Although nylon does not present as good an appearance as silk, it is a successful functional alternative.

In 1931, soyabean fibers were experimented with to produce artificial silk which was named Azlon.
Unsuspecting buyers could buy art silk sarees that could be passed off as real silk. However despite a similar appearance, genuine silk has unique features that are distinguishable from artificial silk.
Art Silk Sarees have Fancy prints and embroidery designs adorning the silk fabric.

Gold floral prints all over the sari, with a block printed border and a designer pallu is a trending style and very suitable wear for daily casual, college, corporate office and traditional occasions. Designer art silk saris with zari embroidery all over the sari and printed patch work embroidered with mirrors and sequins are gorgeous. They are apt for grand ocasions such as wedding, bridal functions and festivals.

Georgette Sarees clad comfortably, unnatisilks Georgette Sarees keep you cool in hot weather

The Georgette Saree is a very light and springy fabric, with a crimpy look and a slightly dull lustre. This Crepe was once made from natural silk; today it is mostly made from synthetic filament yarn.
As with other crepes, Georgette Saris are plain weave fabrics. The crimpy or wavy look is achieved by alternating S and Z twist of the yarns of the weft (breadth wise run of yarn thread) while passing it through the warp(length wise lay of yarn thread).

Though the Georgette Saree is made from Synthetic fibres, which is widely available and comparatively cheap as compared to silk, the silk variety is also available.
Silk crape is hard spinning of silk yarn in its gummy state or natural condition. Initially when the threads from two feeds are twisted in reverse on the weft, the fabric is smooth and even. But when the gum separates out on putting the woven fabric in boiling water, the twisted threads from the weft, become soft. The weft, then losing its twist, gives the fabric the waved structure or crimpy look.

The Georgette Saree is essentially a soft, smooth, and airy fabric, ideal for hot and humid weather conditions.
The Georgette Saree of synthetic filament yarn possesses advantages of low moisture absorption, good stain resistance to chemicals, and makes it easy to wash and maintain. However it burns more easily than natural fibres, and hence is prone to heat damage.
Georgette Sarees are available in a wide range of colours and hues on account of their acceptability of most dyes. With attractive designs and accompaniments in vivid colour combinations, the Georgette Saree assumes the level of a refreshing style statement.
Take for example, the designer fashion Georgette saree, decorated with kundans, pearls, beads and sequins. An extremely gorgeous piece, it is most suitable for Indian weddings and preferred as bridal attire.
Or the Indian Pure Georgette Sari with Bandhani , Block and Bagruprints which looks most graceful.

The North Indian Fancy Georgette Saree embellished with Zari Zardozi, Ari, Gota or Chikan embroidery patterns is an extremely eye-catching variation.
The Half and Half Georgette Sari having Chunri prints and embroidered border is stylish wear suitable for college parties, corporate office, cultural programmes and festivals.

The Georgette Saree having embroidery patch work along with a printed border is trending fashion, well-liked and most appropriate for corporate conferences, traditional occasions and temple visits.

Unnati Silks, devoted to ethnic sarees and salwar kameez materials, have a wide range of Georgette Sarees. Incorporating traditional and trendy designs with attractive patterns in the most pleasing colour combinations, their fabrics cater to varying individual tastes and at the most reasonable prices.
